Late last night I tuned into Jimmy Kimmel Live around halfway through the show. They had just returned from the commercial break and he was announcing who was going to be performing that night. I saw him pull out this
freaky cover. Now, I've seen this cover before while browsing the new release scene and I knew it was going to be some weird sh*t. My plan was to change the channel when the performance was about to come on. Well, when that time came I reached for the remote and it wasn't there. I spotted it across the room on the couch. So like a true American, I was too lazy to get up for the remote and I ended up watching Die Antwoord perform.
I didn't know what to expect. By the album cover alone, I thought it was some kind of satanic hardcore rock band or some sh*t. Needless to say, I was preparing for the nightmares. The cameras switched to the stage and to my surprise this club/techno/dance music begins to play. It wasn't so bad, but I was still freaked out by the singer chick with the over-sized hoodie and weird black eyes. That sh*t was just weird, but I kind of liked it. So here I am today, sharing these videos with you. Their Jimmy Kimmel performnce is on top and underneath it is the even weirder official music video. I know this stuff is probably bad for me, but I'm (temporarily) addicted. Damn.
