Press Release:

(Antioch, CA) In today's day and age, the success and relevance of a lot of artists is defined by their online presence and amount of support the communities in the world wide web show them. It has gotten to the point where artists try to create entire careers from behind a computer screen and the art of the street grind is unknown to a lot of the younger generation.

Every once in a while you come across an artist that proves that theory wrong. Antioch, CA, rapper Big Tone happens to be one of those artists. Coming from a city in the Bay Area city that's always been overshadowed by its neighbor city Pittsburgh, Latin rapper Big Tone has managed to create an incredible street buzz not only locally, but throughout the Latin rap community. With his new album, "From The Streetz of California" (May 17th), Tone is for the first time looking to break out of the local fame and embrace a wider audience.

"This is the first album where I'm trying to get exposed to a new crowd and taking it out there a little further. Up until now, I never really went out to do too much promotions, I like stuccoing with my own formula and feeding my followers", Tone says. It is specifically that love and support from his followers that has pushed him to try and reach some new ears, however without touching the integrity of his music:

"I'm not switching up my music, I'm staying true to what I do. I'm just trying to get exposed more, because me and my camp Sav It Out Records, we've been kind of stuck in a box and have been sticking to the same crowd, so this time around I reached out to a couple of different avenues. But it ain't about changing the music." This should be a relief to Big Tone's fan base that wants him to keep it true to his roots.

May 17th is the official release date for Big Tone's "From The Streetz Of California", which features guest appearances from Shadow, Laced, Doonie (Federation), Johnny Boy, Tito B, Chingaso, B-Dawg and Priscilla Valentin. The album is now available on iTunes, Amazon and every other digital retailer worldwide via Sav-It-Out Records/EMPIRE Distribution.
