According to
Fader, TDE founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith says that Kendrick Lamar & Black Hippy have just signed a joint venture deal with Aftermath and Interscope Records. This means that Kendrick Lamar's debut album will be officially released through Top Dawg, Aftermath, and Interscope. Ab-Soul, Jay Rock , and ScHoolboy Q will follow with releases of their own.
This may come as good news to some of you, but others might not like this move very much. The entire TDE crew is doing pretty good independently. Aftermath and Interscope will give them a bigger platform, but Dr. Dre hasn't had any of his proteges release an album since Game released
The Documentary back in 2005. Let's hope this doesn't happen to Black Hippy.
