The group's name represents their being formed 40 years after the Summer Of Love in San Francisco, and that ethos shows up throughout their music and has earned the group accolades from OkayPlayer, NBC, URB, and others, and has allowed them to share stages with Mos Def, MC Lyte, Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Mark Farina, and more. 40Love released their debut album, Advantage, in 2007, and followed that effort with their sophomore album, BANGERANG! in 2009. Now, three years later, 40Love is prepping the release of their third album, Dreams Don't Sleep, which will be released July 24th, and includes features from Zumbi of Zion I, Black Spade, The Park, and more.
